Inside Sales Representative (Account Manager) - Bulk Vending

Job Summary
Receive and make customer inquiries for requests for quotations, orders, and lead times through telephone, fax and email. Make quotations on standard items, enter orders, and relay pertinent order information to customers. Will coordinate with all other departments in providing excellent service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments and cancellations directly from customers. Achieve and maintain rapport with customers and work to give them the best possible service.
  • Use a computer to retrieve customer information, stock status information, the status of purchase orders and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensure that correct information is used for retrieving and inputting information.
  • Coordinate with credit department concerning credit status of customers.
  • Maintain computer files of active orders and post activity such as change notices, scheduling changes, partial shipments and credit changes.
  • Prepare paperwork to be given to accounting department for credit or debit to be issued.
  • Must be able to manage 500+ small business accounts.
  • Reasonable care and operation of standard office equipment such as computer, calculator, copying machine and other common equipment.
  • Maintain good customer relations. Generally deal with customers concerning matters that require tact and resourcefulness. Contact with other personnel including accounting, marketing and manufacturing departments.

Job Specifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales
  • Strong understanding of customers
  • Good organization and interpersonal skill

Required Knowledge:

  • Mathematics - Basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percent calculations
  • Sales - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
  • Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft applications, Word, and Excel.
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • Negotiation - Ability to reconcile differences.
