Self Vending Chibi Marvel Hero Capsule Collectible Figurines

Posted by WebMonkey on March 16th, 2010

Fans of Mighty Muggs but prefer the size of Minimates? Here’s the ultimate combo toy for you! Check out these adorable Chibi Marvel Hero capsule toy figurines from Marvel! Instead of throwing away the plastic capsule, the folks that created these have decided to make them a part of the toy itself!

I can’t get over how ingenious and cute these guys are. There are unfortunately only six figurines, The Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man. They are expected to retail at a vending machine near you for just $1 and they stand in at around 2″.

Whoever’s making these should make more and expand the roster to also DC. I would seriously buy them all.

Marvel Capsule Toys Prove Super Heroes Have Super Mothers With a High Pain Threshold

by Sean Fallon on February 23, 2010

Imagine giving birth to those heads. But I digress.

Instead of putting the character in one of those plastic capsules, Marvel [A&A Global Industries actually] had the bright idea to make the head the capsule and package their bodies inside. The package pictured in the image after the break is just for display, but I suggest heading out to your local comic book store to see if they have any in one of their vending machines. You can also purchase them in bulk from several places, including Amazon, which only requires an 8ct purchase for $6.

If I saw these Marvel capsule toys in a vending machine, I would immediately beg my mother for a dollar. Of course, she would say “You don’t need any more crap,” but that’s when I would play my ace in the hole and go all dead weight so she would have to drag my 200 pound body around the supermarket.
